Boone Power will host its next Member Ambassadors of the Cooperative event on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The event will provide a look at the regional electric system. We are pleased to welcome Dana Cochran, Manager of Stakeholder Relations, with the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), as our guest speaker. MISO is the Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) responsible for overseeing the electric grid across a large portion of the central United States.
Cochran leads a team of policy analysts and oversees communication with stakeholders on energy issues, strategic priorities, and long-term planning. At our upcoming event, she will share more about the role of an RTO, the area MISO serves, and how it works with utilities to support the reliable delivery of electricity.
The event will be held in the Farm Bureau Community Building at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds. Light refreshments will be provided beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 6 p.m. The event will conclude no later than 7 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
